graduated MSU in 1970 and U of I medical school with an MD and MS in pharmacology. Completed medical internship and residency at U of Oregon. Took a year off traveling in Europe and middle east and then competed Medical oncology fellowship at U of Arizona in Tucson . Loved the mountains, hated the heat so moved back to the NW in Seattle in 1981. Have been practicing clinical oncology at Swedish Hospital Cancer Institute and cancer prevention research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Currently my wife (Joanna, she's a Psychoanalyst) and I are partially retired. Our daughter Rachel recently got married and moved with her husband from Boston back to Seattle.
